On May 21st, 2010 the Verhovna Rada adopted the Law “On Amendments to the Article 5 of the Law “On Value Added Tax”.

According to the document, the Law establishes that for the period of the operation of the Law “On Organization and Hosting the Final Part of the 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine”, the operations on the sale of the tickets for the matches of the 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine as well as the operations on the sale of the services, included into the determined by the Cabinet of Ministers list, which are accomplished by the UEFA in the period of the preparation and hosting the final part of the mentioned Championship, are free from taxation by the value added tax.
