Workshop TaxHUB 5.0 "Worldwide and Local Tax Trends Driving the Necessity of Business Transformations"


Recently some important developments in international and domestic legislation on the approaches to definition of business in terms of tax transparency and equity, have been observed. International community in the name of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), elaborate and improve the standards for proper business practices and taxation, and most countries in the world are gradually implementing these standards in their legislation.

In 2018, Ukraine also started active work on bringing national legislation in compliance with international tax standards. All these initiatives drive business transformations and force it to adapt to the recent requirements.

During the workshop, Deloitte specialists focused on the following questions:

  • Key factors that influence tax planning
  • Decrease of confidentiality in the world
  • Combating money-laundering and tax avoidance
  • Increase of requirements to economic "substance" of the companies
  • Deoffshorization in Ukraine and anticipated changes


Participants had an opportunity to analyze in details the worldwide and local tax trends driving transformations for Ukrainian companies as well as discuss the changes affecting business, and how to prepare to new "game rules".

Nataliya Ulyanova, Partner, Tax and Legal department, Head of Complex Business Transformation Practice at Deloitte Ukraine. Nataliya has sixteen years of experience in international taxation, international structuring, asset protection and investment agreements support. Nataliya is a recognized tax reform expert and is a frequent speaker at conferences and the author of articles.

Kateryna Grabovyk, Senior Manager, Tax and Legal department. Kateryna has more than nine years of experience of legal practice in Ukraine, consulting Ukrainian and international clients on the issues of international tax planning, structuring of international business operations, implementation of IT projects and protection of intellectual property rights.
