Chamber In-Focus Meeting with Mr. Petro Poroshenko, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine
Continuing an active working dialog with key Ukrainian stakeholders and providing an opportunity for the Chamber Membership to interact with senior Governmental officials, on April 12 the Chamber organized an “In-Focus” meeting with Mr. Petro Poroshenko, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The host and sponsor of the event, Hyatt Regency Kyiv, opened its doors to Chamber Members and representatives of key diplomatic missions to Ukraine.

Chamber Presented its Pilot Regional Competitiveness Project
On Tuesday, April 10th the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (the Chamber) presented its pilot Regional Competitiveness Project in Kharkiv. The joint Round table organized by the Foundation for Effective Governance, the Chamber and Kharkiv Oblast State Administration was dedicated to the presentation of the results of such major competitiveness projects as “2011 Ukrainian National Competitiveness Report” (ENG, UKR) and “2011 Regional Competitiveness Report” (UKR).

MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: Insights into Investing in the Regions with the Chamber: "Dnipropetrovsk - Your Gateway for Investment in Ukraine"
On Wednesday, March 21st, 2012 at the Intercontinental Kyiv Hotel in downtown Kyiv the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (Chamber) hosted the next in the series of “Insights into Investing in the Regions with the Chamber” events entitled “Dnipropetrovsk – Your Gateway for Investment in Ukraine” that was delivered by Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration with the participation of Mr. Oleksandr Vilkul, Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Region, and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council headed by Mr. Yevgeny Udod, Chairman of the Regional Council.

Signing Memorandum of Understanding with the Dnipropetrovsk Region
On Wednesday, March 21st, 2012 at the Intercontinental Kyiv Hotel in downtown Kyiv the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (Chamber) hosted the next in the series of “Insights into Investing in the Regions with the Chamber” events entitled “Dnipropetrovsk – Your Gateway for Investment in Ukraine” that was delivered by Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration with the participation of Mr. Oleksandr Vilkul, Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Region, and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council headed by Mr. Yevgeny Udod, Chairman of the Regional Council.
The plenary session ended by signing a Memorandum of Understanding between Dnipropetrovsk region and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine where the parties will exchange information on investment promotion into the economy of Dnipropetrovsk region as well as using international best practices related to attracting investment and creating favorable business environment.

American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Signed a Memorandum of Understanding
Considering the importance of establishing a favorable foreign economic and investment climate as well as creating proper conditions for improving international image of Ukraine the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 20th, 2012.

The Chamber and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs move forward to the whole new level of the relations
Continuing the active working dialogue with senior Governmental officials to communicate our policy agenda for the benefit of our Membership on Tuesday, March 20th the Chamber was pleased to host an In-Focus Meeting with Mr. Kostiantyn Gryshchenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The Meeting resulted in signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
According to the Memorandum the Ministry and the American Chamber of Commerce will establish a joint Working Group aiming at developing an Action Plan in the field of international activity and coordinating cooperation with the Regional State Administrations, Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry and industry-specific associations.

On Thursday, March 15th, 2012, Chamber held a Meeting with Mr. Anatoliy Blyzniuk, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Economy of Ukraine.
Participants of the meeting discussed the ways for developing close cooperation between the Ministry and the Chamber, in particular within projects aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine’s regions.

Chamber Working Meeting with Mr. Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi
On Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was pleased to host an exclusive senior level working meeting with Mr. Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, members of the Chamber Board of Directors, diplomatic community as well as the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Participants met to discuss the recent challenges experienced by the internationally oriented business community operating in Ukraine as well as to strengthen the partnership with the Ministry of Finance to ensure productive cooperation in future.
