The Chamber Educational Project

Understanding the current changes and challenges which the society faces and perceiving the effective Educational sphere as a key element of the overall Ukrainian competitiveness the Chamber is moving the Chamber Educational Project
to another level. The Project was initially begun through the efforts of the Chamber HR Committee (“HR University” course with the Kyiv National Economy University).

The skills’ gap and insufficient professional preparation of recent graduates entering the workforce continue to be among major concerns for many Chamber Members. Therefore, the Chamber is embarking upon the development of a new Educational Project (Project) which is aimed to:

• Increase cooperation between the business and academics;
• Increase of the professional level of future business community by creating the educational opportunities for young generation;
• Shape the employer market by best management practices;
• Provide internship opportunities for the selected students.

The Program will be conducted jointly with the leading Ukrainian high educational institutions, both public and private including the fellow Chamber Member educational institutions. After having consulted with targeted universities willing to join the Project, the Chamber has analyzed the possible linkages between the areas represented by the Chamber Committees and the relative programs being read by Universities.

The Chamber is now calling for the speakers / lecturers willing to contribute to the Project implementation and to highlight one or few of the following banking and finance-related areas:

• Corporate Finance
• Financial Analysis
• International Financial Markets and Investment Management
• Financial Management
• Financial Markets
• Other (please indicate)

The current stage is designed to collect a feedback from the interested companies and individual employed by the companies in regards to their willingness and ability to hold lectures / classes on the above mentioned topics to be offered initially on a voluntary basis to the selected universities.

We do believe that the results of the Project if successfully implemented will:

• Benefit all participants by bringing the cutting-edge knowledge and technologies closer to the graduates making them more competitive;
• Serve as examples of effective Partnership models between investment and academic communities
• Serve as a basis for the practical dialog with the appropriate Ukrainian State authorities responsible for the education sphere to implement the model as well as to introduce necessary changes in the appropriate Ukrainian legislation and regulation aligning with the best international practices.
