On February 26, the Chamber gathered its Healthcare Committee Members for a meeting with Tetyana Talaeva, Director of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The discussion was moderated by Borys Danevych, Co-Chair of the Chamber Healthcare Committee, Partner of Marchenko Danevych law firm, who welcomed the participants on behalf of the Chamber and suggested to start the discussion with an update from the State Expert Center (SEC) regarding the current situation around SEC, organizational vision for Supervisory Council, development of the system of cooperation with the Ministry of Health and plans for SEC development in 2016.
Tetyana Talaeva highlighted that the meeting at the Chamber is totally lines up with the vision of the State Expert Center steered on transparency and cooperation with business. Ms. Talaeva briefed the participants on her vision of the Supervisory Council and expressed the will that SEC should be a part of it. Ms. Talaeva outlined the first action after her appointment: setting up the audit of correspondence and financial-economic work of the State Expert Center as well as reorganizational reformation. SEC has addressed to WHO with a request to audit its activity in order to facilitate the interoperability and adapt it to a European model.
Also, participants of the meeting discussed the problems which they are facing especially with the format of registration certificate, potential implementation of the electronic documents’ flow to facilitate internal procedures of SEC as well as cooperation with Ministry of Health, medicinal products with accelerated procedure of registration, biosimilars and data exclusivity that should correspond to the European approach.
