Nestle Ukraine LLC
Nestle is the world's leading nutrition, health and wellness company. The company employs over 328 000 people and has 449 factories situated in 86 countries. Nestle products are sold in almost every country in the world. Founded in 1866 in Switzerland, where it is still based (with headquarters in Vevey), Nestle has often been called "the multinational among multinationals". Only about 1.5 percent of its sales are generated in its home country, and all but 12 of its factories are situated abroad.
Nestle has started its activity in Ukraine in 1994 by opening a representative office in Kyiv.
In 1998 Nestle purchased a majority interest of one of the biggest confectionary producers of Ukraine - Lviv confectionary factory “Svitoch”.
In December 2003 Nestle purchased 100% of shares of the OJSC “Volynholding”, a young, Lutsk located, dynamic company, famous for its Torchin brand. Torchyn is a leading brand in the Ukrainian market of cold sauces (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sauces, etc). The same year a Nestle Ukraine company was created for the purposes of running sales activities and development of the distribution network.
In 2010 Nestle accomplished its portfolio having acquired Technokom LLC, leader in instant noodles, potatoes and seasoning under Mivina brand.
The main areas of Nestle Ukraine businesses are: confectionary (represented by brand Nestle, Nestle Gold Chocolate, Nestle Gold Praline, KitKat, Aero, Nuts, Lion, Nesquik), culinary (Torchyn, Maggi), beverages (Nescafe, Nesquik, Coffee-Mate) as well as baby food, breakfast cereals, ice-cream, foodservice (vending, coffee machines) and pet food.
For more than 18 years of its performance in Ukraine Nestle has become one of the biggest food companies in Ukraine.
