The Chamber was pleased to hold the first in the series of Chamber Business Luncheons this year, which took place with Ambassador Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, Head of the European Commission Delegation.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was pleased to host a Business Luncheon with the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Mr. Anatoliy Kinakh. The event gathered senior management of interested Chamber Member companies.

On Thursday, March 15^th the Chamber's Banking and Financial Services Committee was pleased to host Mr. Valeriy Alyoshyn, Head of the State Commissions for Regulation of Financial Services Markets of Ukraine who shared his thoughts with the Chamber Membership regarding the current priorities within the sphere of State policy impacting financial services markets in Ukraine and plans of the Commission on implementation of new developmental strategies fostering new and improved financial service provision.

On July 12, 2006 the Chamber was pleased to host Mr. Oleg Vysotsky, Head of the State Committee on Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy. Mr. Vysotsky agreed to answer a series of questions, gathered by the Chamber Policy Team from interested Chamber Members, regarding the most important problem areas and issues in the sphere of certification, standardization and consumer rights protection in Ukraine.
